Abstract
As the years pass our world progresses, Philippines has become one of the most populous country in the world. In line with this, the population increase s that leads to constrain of resources. The growing population of the students increases mostly in public schools. In addition for Filipino to be more competiitive. the k-12 program was implemented last june 2016. The facilities and the numbers of teachers in public school can't accommodate to teach students in one shift. As a result the double shift schooling system is barely adopted by other schools both private and public to manage the numbers of students and the resources. without aknowledging its implications to the performance of the learners. Double shifting composed of two sessions one in the morning and one in the afternoon. That composed the 40-50 students both in urban and rural areas. With this researches intends to determine the implicationof double-shifting to learner's performance. Thus, the researchers utilizes a snowball sampling technique. The grade 7 to 10 learners of Balagtas National Agricultural High School and Guiguinto Vocational High School are the chosen informants. The data needed for this study were collected using semi-instructure interview guide. The interview used open for the stablishment of the validity and realiability of stated responses from the informants. The researcher categorizes the shared information into the emergent themes which included (1) academics aspects of the learners (2) interpersonal aspects of learners and (3) interpersonal aspects of the learners. Finding showed that double-shift schooling system affects learners performance in three different aspects. The implications of double shift schooling in a national schoole were: in the academic aspects most of the students shared that they did not gain enough knowledge, the time was not enough for a subject, they learned self study and recall lesson, and they practiced to do many activities, assignments and projects. In the interpersonal aspects furthermore, they felt lazy, tired and sleepy during class hours and they also skipped meals before going to school. In the interpersonal aspects, learners prcaticed peer teaching, they were addicted to games and they went out with their peers instead of going home straight and study their lectures. Double shifting is quite helpful especially in countries who have a large number of learners insufficients facilities and resources can't accomodate to teach students in one shift.
