The scale shown in questionnaire includes 21 symptoms of social and emotional problems, each judged on six point severity scale. The researchers selected a barangay in one municipality in Bulacan as their research locale. The research respondents were 40 teenagers, 19 males and 21 females. Their ages range between 13 to 17 years. To construe the results, verbal interpretation of severity was utilized. Contingency table was used for cross tabulation to display the relationship of the variables. The results revealed that 25% of the abusers were parents or people inside the householci Most of the verbal abuse cases rose from the age 10 and above with a percentage of 60%. In terms of interpersonal system, it was found out that teenager’s ranked suspiciousness as the first among all the symptoms with a mean of 5.70 and interpreted as very severe. While in performance system, the teenagers placed financial insecurity in the highest rank with a mean of 5.92 interpreted as very severe. Among the three systems, verbal abuse poses the most severe impact on performance system with a mean of 5.22. It was observed that regardless of gender, verbal abuse sets the teenagers’ social development deprived.
