Abstract
Teenage pregnancy is a contemporary problem that occur in our society and faces by the people nowadays. The rate of adolescent mothers is now continuously increasing and becomes serious problem. It has been the subject of much attentiuon in recent social policy, including a particular strategy for supporting the lives of teenage parents . The issue of support ,both formal and from family is central to this endeavor , and problematic. Unexpected increases in the teen birth rates have stimulated a renewed focus on the prevention of teen pregnancy . Although many adults believe there are certain costs associated with teen parenting , the attitude of teens toward the parenting experience are not known. The purpose of this descriptive study was to determine teens' thoughts on how their livews would change if they experienced a teen birth in the areas of relationships, vocations, and life impacts. We conducted a survey, designed to measure demographic variables and perspectives on the costs and rewards of teen parenting , and were administered to 30 respondents in Dr. Yanga's Colleges Inc. the survey yielded a composite score,subscales score, and aggregate data measuring teen thoughts on the consequences of the teen parenting experience. Findings may be used to identify teens at risk for pregnancy , develop interventions, and evaluate prevention strategies based on the insights of teens. As a health care provider, we are concern regarding the issue to be able to impart knowledge to the adolescent mother in giving care to the child through formulation of guidelines regarding teenage parenting. Hence, this study aims to determine the caregiving capacity of teenage mothers and set a guidelines on adolescent parenting. The study was conducted to understand the different caregiving capacity of adolescent mothers as basis of guidelines in teenage parenting . It aslo examined the teenager's transition to mothering as shaped by family caregiving practices and describes their situated possibilities as the basis for developing clinical practices that promote responsive caregiving . Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following questions: what is the demographic profile and caregiving capacity of the adolescent mother and based on the findings what guidelines can be formulated in terms of parenting.
