Abstract
After years of learning, the majority of students in the Philippines are neither fluent nor confident english speakers. Some may attribute this deficiency to the limited time for oral practice in classromms and the lack of conversational opportunies outside of them, especially in english as a foreign language setting. Developing english skills includes several aspects that influence this process. It is more than obvious that the students together with the teacher are the most important ones. The way this process can be influenced from the position of the teacher will be the aim of the thesis. It consists of five chapters. Chapter one involves an introduction for the study in which the researcher writes about present reality of english in terms of speaking skill of the based english students of Dr. Yanga's Colleges , Inc. After that, statement of the problem is given. This followed with question of the study, definition of terms and the limitation of the study. Chapter two begins with theoretical framework for the suggested approach; a review of the previous studies follows. Relevance of the study is given followed by conceptual framework. Chapter three is methology of the studyin the methodology, the researcher writes about the population and the sample of the study, used tools, and the procedures. The sample of the study is (15) English major students whop are enrolled during the first semester of S.Y. 2012-2013. Concerning the tools, the researches uses survey questions. Chapter four is the presentation and interpretation. It ends with an analysis of findings of the study. Chapter five is the summary, conclusions, and reccommendations of the authors.
