Abstract
Abstract
This study aimed to develop a lan- based attendance, monitoring and payroll system that can efficiently save time, human power of the employees and the resources of the Dr
. Yanga's Colleges, Inc. This study mainly used the data gathered from an interview with personnel incharge of the operation. Second, the study proposed a system develop using the system development life cycle (SDLC). Owing to a complicated manual process, a conceptual model was used in the development of the system by dividing the whole system into smaller parts. SDLC is achieved by gathering and nalyzing the data, planning and designing the system interface and databases, developing the system by codez, and testing. debugging, and evaluating the system.

After testing the system, the developed payroll sysyem proved to be useful to the human resources and finace department. The lan-based system saved human effort and time without sacrificing the security and accuracy, thereby eliminating the manual auditing of time-in and time-out of DYCI Employees as provided by tghe finger print scanner. The system also provided a system activity log to see what changes were made and by whom. It also made the processing of payroll easier for the system automatically computers the salaries of DYCI Employees with respect the taxes, mandatory contributions, loans and other duductions.
Printable reports can easily be generated such as the daily attendance of the employees and pay slip.
By comparing the existing system and proposed automated system, the proponents concluded that through implementing the automated system, the improvement is clearly visible. The system will render more productive processes in human resources department with regard to gathering data from biometrics, and monitoring of tardiness and undertime. For the finance department, the system will improve accuracy and efficiency in accounting the attendance of the employees and payroll processing. Thus, the developed system met its objectives and requirements of the institutions.
