Abstract
Technology as it is used today can improve and can add to the quality of learning students can attain. Some of the very notable technological advances with regards to education are e-learning and school website’s forum and many consider these as vital teaching tools Technology as a whole has paved way for several new conventions, both beneficial and not so valuable ones.
The proposed study aims to develop, and design a Lan-Based DYCI Entrance Examination for the Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc. specifically in the College of Computer Studies. To achieve the general objective, the research aims to:
I .Analyze and describe the current process of admission in Dr Yanga’s Colleges Inc., 2.ldentify the weaknesses encountered in the existing system; 3.Develop a Computerized Entrance Examination System that would have the following features: 3.1 .Application Form, 3.2.Entrance Examination, 3.3.Career Evaluation, 3.4User Accounts and 4.Show the feasibility of the proposed study in terms of technical, operational, and economical aspects.
In order to come up with substantial completion of this study, the proponents utilized various methods of research like Descriptive method, Library Research method, and Prognostic type of Research and Creative method. The proponent also used analytical tools like Data Flow Diagram (DFD), Visual Table of Content (VTOC), Input Process Output (IPO), and Program Flow Chart in guiding the proponents during the development of the proposed software.
In conducting the research, data’s were collected for assumption, testing, from which results and conclusions were derived. To objectively evaluate the study, the proponents exhausted the following data gathering instruments like interview, questionnaires, observation, and evaluation.
The software was evaluated in terms of its performance or feasibility. The proponents tested the operational feasibility of the software with the following criteria: training, usability, reliability and security.
The proponents recommend the implementation of the proposed software to improve modifying student information by using web. Especially that our technology today evolves faster and can simply produce any kind of computer gadgets, software, tools that can make things easy.
