Computer gaines arc natural teachers. Children find them highly motivating: by virtue of their interactive nature. Children are actively engaged with them: they provide repeated practice: and they include rewards for skillful play. These facts make it likely that computer games could have large effects, some of which are intended by game designers., and some of which may not be intended,
The study focuses on the Effects of Computer Games to the Academic Performance of the Maritime Students..
The methods uses are partial to evaluate the effects of computer games to the students of College of Maritime to their academic performance and measure the gathered survey questionnaire.
The descriptive-correlation method was used in this study. The subjects were 100 maritime students of Dr. Yanga’s Colleges, Inc. A questionnaire was used in gathering data along advanced studies.
As maritime students, we conclude that a computer game is bad for the academic performance for the students. Majority of the respondents habits are computer games. Thus, the students must avoid playing computer games.
