This study focus on the causes of absences of Maritime Students of Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc. the researchers used descriptive questionnaire to obtained the needed data in the progress of this study. The result of the study reveals that “Barkada” got highest weighted mean among the factors in the causes of absences of the Maritime Students. However, financial aspects play vital effect in the causes of absences of the Maritime Students which got the second highest weighted mean. The interest of the students in their chosen course by this causes of absences formulated by the data gathered to the respondents the institution as well as the parents can formulate solutions to prevent the absenteeism hobbies and solution to the causes of absences of the Maritime Students to bea competitive marine seafarers and officers in the future.
