Abstract
Nowadays, society expect nurses to deliver expert healthcare, hence, he is duty bound to provide that kind of care to whose ever needs it; he is duty bound to uphold the ethical standards of this chosen profession particularly service people regardless of age, sex, status in life and ethnicity.
The researcher chose the topic about spiritual quotient and personal disposition of student nurse as basis for self-awareness towards renewed commitment to service. Spiritual quotient is emerging as a new concept of spiritual ability. The topic covers chosen DYCI third year nursing student which comprises of about 100 respondents.
The researchers chose the said topic in order to determine the quality and characteristic of a nursing student need to posses for better understanding of his chosen profession, whether through inevitable experience in the working area, hospital practice, community and even in imparting his knowledge at school.
Here, it is imposed that the unending want or need to strive for more experiences hones a student nurse to be a deep, worthy and a person with substance when it comes to passion in what he’s doing. Spiritual intelligence here is like a subgenus of spiritual quotient. Md in the study, the findings tend to show that other students are merely lacking or gust deprived of those qualities. While other are over qualified for basis in ranking of their spiritual quotient and personal disposition. Some respondents know what motivates them; they knew their goals and aspirations and have a plan-based imagination of what their future as nurses of tomorrow could be like.
Therefore, those nursing student have edge than those wlIb are not so sure in their chosen career. Those student nurses can be the most concern citizens being well-established professionals of the future. They are committed to their passion, and that is to promote health, prevent illness, and alleviate suffering of ill people which makes them feel a sense of fulfillment, being contented, worthy and whole.
