Abstract
The decreasing ratio of compliance of nursing students of Dr. Yanga’s Colleges, Inc., led us in conducting this thesis. The discrepancy of compliance of student nurses of DYCI from other institutions is very b’atant. Due to the fast-facing phenomenon of today’s generation, college students are discouraged to abide by the rules. They feel that they have to make something new out of the common and that is through opposing through the regulations provided by their institution. Hence, this study was made possible. It aims to measure the degree of compliance and observance of college students, more specifically student nurses, on the policies presented.
Social Rule System Theory was used as framework to guide the design of the study. The researchers conducted the survey and gathered data at Dr. Yanga’s Colleges, Inc., which was completed by 50 selected nursing students.
There is no significant difference between the level of compliance to DYCI-College of nursing rules and policies according to their profile.
With the congregated data, sufficient dissemination of information for superior and clearer understanding on the rules and regulations is very much recommended. Encouragement of students to abide by the rules must be done in order to accolade with the dissemination of information to students, so with the entire populace of the institution.
