Abstract
ThThey say "it's all written in the History". Yes, indeed, all the important things and study History? Studying History can help develop some literally sailable skills. Events that happened in the country as well as in the whole world were written in history. Why many find it boring and it is a challenge for teachers on how they will teach History in the most interesting way. How do the students have the ability to comprehend thousand years of historical information? By utilizing the best choice of teaching strategies will help teachers to let their students understand History. The teachers must know how to handle the pupils while they are discussing the lesson. The aim of this study is therefore to help the students in improving their understanding, also to help the teachers know wh approach to use in teaching. It further aims to improve the understanding skills of every student in History class. The research is conducted in Cong. Eras some R. Cruz Memorial School with the grade 5 students. The researchers used a 10 item dichotomous exam which is validated by the expertise. Also, the researchers conducted a reliability test ensured that the exam that they do is appropriate to the level of understanding of respondents. The reliability is conducted in Our Lady of Fatima Academy. The researchers used the Kuder- Richardson 20 to get the result of the reliability test. For the exam to be reliable the result needs to be 0.70. Therefore, the examination is reliable for the Grade Five students since the test is yielded 0.71.There are 44 respondents in the study. In conducting the study the researchers used a simple random sampling to avoid discrimination to the respondents. The researchers used T-Test for evaluating the result. Based on the statistic, result revealed that there’s significant difference between the understanding of the experimental and control group with a P- Value of 0.002. The result of the study is that the Interactive Graphic Organizer is effective in improving the understanding of the students in history. This interactive graphic organ different subject to help the teachers to enjoy the discussion. It can also use in Traditional poetry vs spoken poetry a comparative analysis on the poetry appreciation of the students of DYCI
