Abstract
Inhalants are breathable chemical vapors that can be inhaled to induce a increasing cases of juvenile addiction. With this, the researchers therefore aim to fully | psychoactive or mind-altering effect. This is a huge contributor to the presently understand in-depth the lived experiences of juvenile inhalant abusers so as to better conceptualize strategies that fit the needs of these children. The researchers utilized a descriptive qualitative study in a phenomenological approach as outlined by Colaizzi to capture the lived experiences of the juvenile inhalants abuser. They focused on the life experiences of the juvenile who used toxic inhalants specifically rugby and vulcaseal (Pedseal). The research and interviews were conducted in different town s in Bulacan including Bocaue, Marilao, and Meycauayan. Interviews were made and transcribed verbatim, significant statements were extracted and analyzed according to Colaizzi's framework and eventually formed as a common emerged theme. To establish rigor and trustworthy of research findings, bracketing, member checking and content validation were done thereafter. The findings indicated the experiences that the informants have been through while under the influence of toxic inhalants. The researchers classified the experiences of juvenile toxic inhalant abusers under emergent themes namely: Delinquency, Oppression and Affirmation. Delinquency relates to the psychosocial and physical influences of the toxic inhalants that consequently led to their vulnerability to commit crimes like stealing. Under Oppression, it was identified that since they belong to families suffering from poverty. This then translates to the inability of the parents to provide for their needs, robbing them off of a lot of opportunities. They need to beg and work even at a young age to provide for their own needs. Lastly, the theme Affirmation reflects the informants' desire to have a sense of belongingness that they did not get from their neglectful families and consequently obtained from peers in the streets. The researchers would like to recommends this research study for health care provider that they must be aware of the potential dangers of inhalant abuse including epidemiology and trends, the sign and symptoms, the effects and danger and the availability of local resources for prevention, intervention and treatment. This research study highly recommends to parents the importance of showing love and care to their children. The researchers would like to recommend, this research to students as a springboard for other studies related to toxic inhalants specifically on how they can be rehabilitated
