Abstract
School entrant is one of the most important milestones on the developmental stage of child.School age period is the time children begin to make independent judgement. Mother's role is considered as one of the most important influences for school age children. With this , the researchers decided to studythe responses of mothers to the importance of their role to their school age children. The research is a non experimental type of research. The researchers used the quantitative type of research using questionnaire to be answered by the respondents for this study. Twenty different mothers with school aged child were used as the target respondent for this study. This was conducted at Bulihan, Malolos city Bulacan. Based on the results of the research. The following conclusions were drawn:Hygiene has a weighted mean of 3.59 with verbal interpretation of always true of me, Food and nutrition with a weighted mean of 3.53 with verbal interpretation of always true of me,School activities with 3.51 with verbal interpretation of always true of me,and intellectual aspect with 3.38 and with verbal interpretation of always true of me, Mother prioritizeschild's hygiene aboveall the categories given in the study. Intellectual aspect of learning is the least focus of the respondents based on the data gathered on this study. A number of recommendations were given such as follows: to conduct more seminars regarding different aspects in maternal roles on school entrant of child,information dissemination through organized programs, different factors such as emotional and physchologicval aspects of care can be utilized for future studies. Researchers can also widen the number and area of respondents covered by the surveillance system.
