Abstract
This study was conducted to determine how the roles of fathers during pregnancy help for the promotion of intimacy during child bearing and their relationship to each other. Specifically, the researchers’ main reason was to increase knowledge among fathers and also those who will be able to read this study. It was done using a descriptive survey which the respondents from Wakas, Bocaue, were interviewed with full understanding.
Weighted mean, Frequency-percentage and Chi-square test of independence were used to treat the data that gathered. A positive correlation was shown upon treatment of the data. This had shown that there is a correlation between the profile of the fathers and their role during pregnancy for the promotion of intimacy during child bearing and their relationship to each other. The respondents proved that they had done their role as nurturer, supporter, provider and counselor to their significant others as seen through charting certain answers to the interview.
The researchers recommend specific responsibilities and enumerate the roles they needed to achieve the said goal.
The researchers proposed the roles and responsibilities to the respondents to ensure continuity and also to improve and promote intimacy during child bearing.
