Breastfeeding is considered the best nutritional option for babies. Human milk has 2 times more of the readily absorbed olein, is a better source of linoleic acid,, and has deinoic fat, linolesic acid, which is necessary to prevent growth failure to production of dry, thick, scaly skin, with desquamation and intertrigo.
Bottle feeding commercially prepared infant formulas are a nutritious alternative to breast milk and even contain iron. Manufacturer under sterile conditions, commercial formulas attempt to duplicate mother's milk using a complex combination of proteins, sugar, fats and vitamins that would be virtually impossible to create at home. Infant formulas are helpful in certain circumtances. Many women choose to forgo breast feeding and feed their infant only formula. Today they are several brands available to women who choose not to breastfeed or who need a supplemental formula.
