Albularyos are commonly called the alternative healers.in the filipino culture, their healing practices are recognized and considered of paramount importance in the health and wellness of community people .relatively there is an increasing number of these alternative healers in the philippine setting. Thus, significantly, this research paper was conducted to further describe and explore the healing traditions of albularyos.the design called for active inquiry through structured and unstructured interviews and direct observations. Furthermore, the researchers utilized purposive sampling wherein key informants where chosen based on the following inclusion criteria:(1)at least one year experience of treating clients.(2)native of bulacan and perform healing traditions in the rural areas of Sta.Maria,Norzagaray, and Pandi. A one-on-one interview was conducted to eight(8) known albularyos which lasted lasted from 15 to 30 minutes using video or voice recorder. Data gathered were transcribed and analyzed to identify key theme clusters that would describe the informants' healing traditions. Subsequently, trustworthiness of this research paper was established using member checking. In addition, researchers barred contamination of data gathered through bracketing of owns biases. Informants were able to verify the findings of the interpreted data. The results showed the healing traditions of the albularyos were focused on three theme clusters:(1) Sanctified equipment. The tools albularyos use to treat clients.(2)Sanctified Herb, the herbs that are commonly advised to clients.(3) Sanctified Interventions, the procedures that albularyos do to clients. Informants described the know-how and the how-to of each item and procedure. Based on these findings , it is therefore concluded that more than the physiological healing, regaining of spiritual wellness was highlighted by the albularyos.
