Abstract
In this generation,students are getting inclined to mobile games Mobile games
Have become popular and pervasive form of entertainment among children. The
advancement in technology is a great factor that causes the change of ample of things.
One very poplar genre is Role-playing games which a lot of students are hooked with
enough to be substitute for their physical activity. In this relation, this research aims to
compare the effects of playing mobile games and physical games as perceived by
intermediate students. The researchers utilized a quantitative research using questionnaire
techniques as a tool to find out the results of the study. Respondents were selected
through convenience -sampling to avoid biases and to make sure that all the respondents
were able to participate in this study. The study was conducted at Cong. Erasmo R. Cruz
Memorial Central School Elementary Department where three sections who participated
in with a total of 134 respondents. Consequently, after the respondents answered the
given questionnaire, the researchers tallied the results to find out the effects of mobile
games to the intermediate students. Then, the researchers analysed and interpreted all the
data for the presentation and discussion. Results revealed that majority of the
intermediate students spend more time playing Mobile Games. One important effect that
is evident is having aggressive behaviour, thoughts, and feelings which affect their social
interaction and physical health.
