Abstract
The study aimed to determine the perceived effects of instructional materials and the learning style of the maritime students wherein the objectives were to describe the
types, to schematize the procedure and to explain the reasons of using such
instructional materials and the learning style by the maritime instructors. To examine the relationship between the instructional designs methodology used to design and develop a learner motivation and its effects.
Majority of the respondents are male, 17 years old and second year students. The respondents in terms of how may the use of instructional materials influence the learning style of Maritime students. Herein, it shows that 91.5% of the respondents have said that instructional materials really influence their learning style while 9.5% said that it really doesn’t affect their learning style and it shows that majority of the respondents depends on the instructional materials and its really affecting their learning style and study habits. In terms of if there will be any difference in the learning style of Maritime Students due to the use of instructional materials. Herein, it shows that 91.5% of the respondents have said that there is difference in the learning style due to use of instructional materials while 8.5% said that there is no really a difference. It shows that majority of the respondents are still up to kind of instructional materials that is being used.
