Drinking alcohol has become a habit among people of all groups whether they are young or old. This frequent drinking habits of alcohol has the possibility to result in alcoholism, it is a form of substance abuse wherein one gets addicted due to prolonged exposure to the substance. In present time college student’s are very prominent to involved in this abuse, so factors have been assessed in order to describes what causes this phenomena. The respondents who are participated in this study were the level IV Nursing Student’s of Dr. Yanga’s Colleges, Incorporated. Thirty chosen respondent were randomly selected and were assessed based on the structured questionnaire given.
The aim of the study is to assess the factors that influence the drinking habits of alcohol among level IV Nursing Students. The questionnaire has two parts which contains the aforementioned collected data using statistical approach. Respondents were asked about their demographic profile in terms of their age, gender, and civil status. Results showed tITit the profile of the respondents together with other factors sometimes influenced the drinking habit of alcohol of level IV Nursing Students especially the socio-economic status of the respondents.
Theoretical framework of Betty Neuman was chosen by the researchers to enhance the premises of this research study. Literatures also play an important role by showing some conducted studies and its results regarding alcohol drinking habits among college students and it is subdi’vided into four parts the foreign literature, local literature, foreign studies and the local studies.
Furthermore this study will serve as a source of information and hopefully will benefit the nursing educators, the nursing students, community, the parents and future researcher regarding the factors influencing the drinking habits of alcohol among level IV Nursing Students and how affect their life and most specially their health.
