‘The purpose of this study Is to know the status of the Hagonoy
River and how they conserve and protect it from pollution.
Descriptive research methodology was utilized in the study. Twenty survey questionnaires were distributed to the residents and all of the responses were retrieved
The researchers found out that the local government in Hagonoy was conducting a program called “Sagip Ilog” to protect and conserve the Hagonoy River from water pollution. And there are also nongovernmental organizations like Knight of Columbus, Augustinian Sisters, Daughters of Mary Immaculate Inc., Pastoral Council and Batarisan that helps the government.
The researchers recommendedto the residents must change their lifestyle anti give more focus on the proper disposal of garbage to prevent waterpollution.
