Cuevas Bakeshop is now considered as one of the big time family owned business in the baking industry, raking millions and having numerous branches and still continue to expand. To ensure the credibility and trustworthiness of the data, the researchers used two data sources. First was the video from ABS-CBN My Puhunan segnient featuring Demetrio Cuevas, the founder of Cuevas Bakeshop. The second was his eldest daughter, Lourdes Cuevas-Pineda. After data were gathered, the researchers analysed the data using a deductive approach guided by the research paper’s theoretical framework, i.e. the Influential Business 6rowth Theory of Churchill and Lewis (1983). The authors identified five stages of business growth: Existence, Survival, Success, Takeoff and Resource Maturity. Every stage of the business growth indicates the struggles and the strategies of Cuevas Bakeshop in maintaining the growth of the business. The major struggles that were identified were educational background, lack of Capital, and envy and competition. To conquer the struggles there were adaptive theasures that were used for the business to survive. These are, seeking the help of other people, loaning and borrowing resources and equipment, striving to be on top of their competitors. To achieve their current status, an effective marketing and management strategies were also implied such as word of mouth, positive customer relationship, proper delegation of tasks, values incorporation, ensuring quality ofproducts and price marketing. On the basis of these findings, the researchers concluded that Cuevas Bakeshop, being a family business claimed that the acquired business profit will only flow within the family. However, it was also claimed that this would limit the business to generate more profits. Moreover, expansion of the business would be easily done if the business is open for franchise. In addition, the struggles that the Cuevas family faced serves as a lesson and an inspiration that motivated them to succeed in life. Finally, the values that they have incorporated to the business have a great impact in building positive customer relationship that also serves as a strategy for them to achieve its current status.
