Abstract
A few years from now, there will be a boom
of registered nurses in our country ready to serve the expanding role of nurses.
From humble beginnings, the role of nurses
has changed from a simple servant to an agent of health changes and finally to a quality leader.
The researchers chose the topic about an
evaluation of nursing performance based on Hildegard Peplau’s Theory.
The topic covers the staff nurses in a private hospital in Tarlac City — Talon General Hospital.
The objectives of the study are: to open the minds of the nursing students of the duties and responsibilities of staff nurses, to emphasize that there are other roles of nurses in the wards like counseling, teaching, and caregiving.
The study will cover two groups of
respondents — 20 staff nurses and 50 in-patients randomly selected in the wards of the hospital.
