Nowadays the increasing number of nurse-patient ratio an inadequate hospital resources greatly affect the quality of care rendered by nurses to patients . This disturbing condition of health recovery of patients . With this scenario , the researchers decided to gauge the effectiveness of care provided by nurses and consquently come up with a nurse effectiveness program. This research utilize a descriptive correlational and comparative research design. Data were obtained through a survey instrument patterned in the five basic aspects of the nursing process. Thirty respondents from selected tertiary hospitals in bulacan were asked to answer the research questionnaire . Respondents were selected through purposive and random sampling. This include 15 registered nurses designated in the medical ward with at least a year of experience and 15 patients age 18 yrs old and above with at least 2 to 3 days stay in the hospital and being cared for by the pre selected nurse respondents.The researchers utilized self-made questionnaires for both set of respondents which went through pilot testing for its internal consistency with a result of 0.82. reults were collated , determined and interpreted through utilization of statistical treatment methods such as frequency and distributions, weighted mean. Pearson R and T test . Based on the study conducted , regardless of the age of nurses, they are still effective or rendering care to the patients when it comes to providing their needs through the utilization of the nursing process.
