This study is entitled “Methods and Techniques in Preventing the Occurrence of Cervical Cancer among Third year nursing Students in Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc: An Assessment.” The purpose of this study is to know the knowledge of the students regarding Cervical Cancer Prevention and if the methods & techniques are being implemented. As we know, cervical cancer is the third most common gynecologie cervical cancer. In this research, it is said that having regular Pap smear can detect HPV infections and Pre-cancers.
The type of research used in this study is descriptive method. The aim of this descriptive research is to verif’ formulated hypothesis. This research is done in Dr. Yanga’s Colleges Inc. This research made use of a survey questionnaire as the main instrument to gather data for this research. The researchers conducted a survey in all third year students but described as the present Fourth year Nursing Students, the total number of respondents is 100 students.
The study revealed that majority of the respondents are female, single and the age ranges at 18-19 years old. It was also shown that there is no significant relationship between the third year nursing students level of knowledge towards cervical cancer and Methods and Techniques in Preventing the Occurrence of Cervical Cancer.
The researchers would like to gather statistical finding and the acquired data were interpreted primarily to assess the level of knowledge of 3 year nursing students to plan for a health teaching to promote reproductive health.
The researchers have created a plan and formulate a conclusion reinforced by the proof of study and data’s interpretation to evaluate the level of knowledge of 3fh year nursing students toward Cervical Cancer Prevention.
